The Attic is accepting consignment by appointment! THIS IS A DROP OFF ONLY.  At this time we are only able to accept one (1) garbage bag per drop off.

Your bag will be labeled with your contact details and will be placed in quarantine for 72 hours. After 72 hours we will review your items and return what we are unable to consign to you (or we can donate what we are unable to consign- your choice).

Our goal is to make this process as simple and convenient for you, while ensuring staff and client safety.  We appreciate your support and loyalty as we adjust our processes to meet the current challenges.

Step by Step details:

  1. Book a drop off appointment via our appointment link.

    1. This is a DROP OFF only.  Your bag will be placed in quarantine for 72 hours before being reviewed and entered into our inventory module.  Limit (1) bag per person per drop off.  After the 72 hour quarantine your items will be entered into our inventory system and you will receive an itemized email with the selling prices and expiration date (see details below regarding expiration dates).

    2. You have the option of retrieving items we are unable to consign.  We will notify you via email after we have sorted your items.  We ask that you return by the date given to you at drop off to pick up items we are not able to consign.  If you need that date extended please call us to extend- otherwise items not picked up by the end of the retrevial period will be donated.

    3. You also have the option to donate items we are not able to consign, if you select this option you do not need to return.

  2. Review and e-sign The Attic’s Consignment Contract Rev6.5.2020.

  3. Arrive at The Attic during your scheduled drop off time frame. If you are early or late no need to call, just come by!

  4. We will greet you when you arrive and label your bag with your contact details. If you have items you have purchased online you will also be able to pick them up at this time. You can also shop The Attic!  Per state regulations we do require you wear a mask to enter the store.

  5. We will give you paperwork take with you.  On this paperwork will be the date range you will be able to retrieve the items we are not able to consign.  We are available for pickup between during our scheduled store hours.

  6. Return during your retrieval period  to collect items we are not able to consign.  Your items will be clearly marked with your name attached to the bag.

Please adhere to the following guidelines to make the process as seamless and safe as possible:

  • Due to space limitations we can only allow one (1) garbage bag per drop off. You can schedule multiple drop offs via our calendar link.

  • Please launder all items BEFORE your drop off.

  • Place jewelry in a ziplock bag(s) inside your main drop off bag.  We are NOT accepting collectibles and winter items.

  • In order to maximize the number of items we are able to consign, we recommend you examine your items and eliminate any that have holes, armpit, cuff, or collar stains, deodorant marks, excessive pilling on the fabric of the garment, toe marks (shoes), excessive staining on purse linings, and broken zippers, clasps or buckles.

  • Please wear a mask or face covering to drop items off for consignment.

  • If you have any items that you do not want to consign for less than a certain price, be sure to clearly identify the item IN ADVANCE of your drop off.  If we do not feel your item(s) will sell at the price you request, we will return the item(s) to you.  Please identify the item(s) by placing it in a separate bag with the price you would like the item sold at.

  • We ask that you return during your retrieval period to collect any items we are unable to consign.  Your retrieval period will be specified on the paperwork you receive at dropoff. Any items not collected before the end of the retrieval period are subject to donation due to safety and space concerns.

  • On the paperwork you receive at drop-off is the current address, phone number and email we have on file.  If these are NOT CURRENT it is your responsibility to contact us (contact details above).

How much will my things sell for?

Our prices range widely depending on the label, style, condition and other factors. Most items price between $5 and $20. Designer jeans and purses are higher in price, but our prices are far lower than retail.

How does the consignment process work?

The consignment period is 60 days with no markdowns.  At the end of your 60 day consignment period you will receive a check to the address you provided.  You can come in and pick up money earned on the account (sorry we can not pay out more than $15 per day per account due to security reasons).  You can also use the money earned as store credit towards in store and online purchases.

If you wish to reclaim unsold items at the end of your consignment period we ask that you come in PRIOR to your pickup date, The Attic will not notify you prior to the end of your consignment period.  You will be provided with a list of the items still available and we ask that you pull your items from the floor.

Inventory levels

Because of the large number of items we receive on a daily basis, our current inventory levels have a large impact on how selective we have to be. If we are overstocked in a certain department, we will need to be more selective when taking in those items and vice versa.
